Manhood Training Initiative

College TOURS

A young man struggling to find and define himself will always seek validation, however this validation among young people can often times come from nonproductive and negative sources.  This is why we lose so many of our young men to gangs, and poor choices.  Gangs, for many, are fulfilling the function of provision, purpose, support and protection for our young men.

Growing4ward will partner with schools, organizations and programs across the Globe, to facilitate Manhood Training Programs, forums and educational excursions, that focus on mentoring, exposure and empowering boys into future men.  Through this initiative we teach young men about their history, potential, and provide them with opportunities to learn essential life skills that will groom them for success in college, their careers and beyond.

If you are a school, organization or program that would like to partner with our initiative for the 2017-18 school year, please contact us by emailing

We are currently hosting Manhood Training in 3 sites in Newark NJ.  For current After-School sites please email

Our Vision is to independently grow and expand these opportunities throughout the United States, and abroad.  We are looking to partner with those sharing our passion, and commitment, for the elevation of our young people.

Growing4ward promotes the importance of education, for  young men and women in under-served communities, by providing them with opportunities for exposure to the benefits of higher education. Every year we provide our 7 day - 6 Night Annual Tour of HBCU colleges that takes place in April, leaving from New York and Newark traveling to Maryland, DC, Virginia, North Carolina and Atlanta to visit the campuses of Morgan State, Howard University, Virginia State, Hampton University, North Carolina University, North Carolina A&T University, Spelman College, Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University.

We will start the tour off with a send off Ceremony. During the tour the students will participate in Workshop Series, attend Admission presentations and participate with Onsite Admissions, Open Mic at Howard University Campus, Field Day on North Carolina A&T Campus, visit to Dr. MLK Center where we have our affirmation circle and finally our Formal Dress to Impress Night in Atlanta.

D.C. InitiaTive

Growing4ward conducts an annual trip to Washington, DC for our young men to take part in the Congressional Black Caucus where we hold our Annual Dare to Lead Conference.  This takes place around the second week in September.  This conference includes our Brother chapters from Pennsylvania, California, Georgia, North Carolina and Washington, DC.  along with youth from the nearby high school and colleges on the Campus of Howard University.

During our conference, young men are inspired, engaged in group activities, conduct presentations, tour college campuses and build productive relationships with like-minded young men. The purpose of the Congressional Black Caucus trip is for our young men to have the opportunity and a  first -hand look at the role African American men and women play in the decision making process of our government, as well as the challenges that affect the masses of our people locally, nationally and globally. The event is designed to encourage leadership.

We are excited to add the Tour of the              National Museum African

The boys will tour The National Museum of African American History on Sunday September 17th.  The Museum and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. It was established by Act of Congress in 2003, following decades of efforts to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans. To date, the Museum has collected more than 36,000 artifacts and nearly 100,000 individuals have become charter members. The Museum opened to the public on September 24, 2016, as the 19th and newest museum of the Smithsonian Institution.
